The Dino Project
The Dino Project is an effort to raise awareness to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) through the restoration of a 1973 Dino Ferrari 246 GT-Euro sports car. (https://www.facebook.com/thedinoproject)
The namesake of this mid-engine Ferrari was Alfredo “Dino” Ferrari, son of Enzo Ferrari and heir to Ferrari Racing. Tragically, “Dino” Ferrari died on June 30, 1956 at the age of 24. He died from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. At the time of his death there was no cure for the disease. Today, nearly 60 years later, there is still no cure. The Dino Project is a restoration project like none other. While we restore a 1973 Dino 246 GT we hope to raise awareness about this devastating disease and restore more than just a car.
